Does Your Company Have A Corporate Matching Program?
Company matching donations are an excellent way to maximize contributions to the Altadeña PTSO. In fact, depending on the company, employer-matching gifts can double or even triple the original donor’s gift. The Altadeña PTSO is grateful to businesses and their employees who choose to support education. Thank you for your support!
What is a company matching donation? A company matching donation, or matching gift, is when a person makes a donation to a non-profit organization and their employer donates an additional amount, often equal or greater than the employee’s donation. A matching gift is a great way for a donor to increase their contribution to the Altadeña PTSO!

How do I know if my employer matches my donation?
You will find a partial list of companies with matching programs below. However, it is always best to check with your Human Resources department for specific information on whether they have a matching program and how to request a matching donation.
Can I process the match request online?
Employer donation matching programs vary by employer, but many companies do allow you to request a matching donation online. Please contact your company’s Human Resources department for more information.
It often takes at least a month, and in some cases up to 6 months, for the Altadeña PTSO to receive the funds from company matching programs. For this reason, we highly recommend you to start the process as soon as you have made the original donation.
Will I get a verification that my employer’s match has been received?
Yes. The Altadeña PTSO will send you an email when we receive your donation, and a second email when we receive the matching funds, provided that we have your email and it’s clear which employee is tied to the employer donation.
What are the steps for Company Matching?
Every company is different, but here are the general steps:
Step 1: Start the matching process by checking with your Human Resources department as each employer has different requirements. The match request form always includes information that must be completed by the employee. Sometime there’s a second portion that must be completed by the Altadeña PTSO.
Step 2: If Altadeña PTSO needs to provide information, please send us the form along with your donation and we’ll complete it with Altadeña’s required information. We will then mail it into your employer! It’s that easy
